The International Snow Science Workshop (ISSW) exists to facilitate the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and experiences between snow science researchers and practioners. The motto of the International Snow Science Workshop is "A Merging of Theory and Practice". ISSW hosts a biennial conference in the western North American mountain region that brings together researchers and practioners from all over the world. In 2009, the first European ISSW was held in Davos, Switzerland and additonal European ISSWs are planned. The next ISSW Conference, ISSW 2012 will be held in Anchorage, AK, from the 16th September to the 21st September 2012. All ISSW Papers and Abstracts are now available online. The ISSW Proceedings database project was a joint development effort of Montana State University Library Digital Collections and the ISSW Steering Committee.
